The Rural Library Project was contacted
by an AmeriCorps VISTA member in 2010 to
help a group of concerned citizens
create a small public library for Remer.
AmeriCorps VISTAs, Rachel McCall and Aubrey Watson,
serving at the Northland Area Family
Service Center are partnering with the
local community and the Remer Library
Committee to make the library a reality.
The Remer Chamber of Commerce, the
Outing Volunteer Library, and multiple
community groups are involved.
At the request of the library committee The Rural
Library Project created a floor plan for
the new library to be located in the old
railroad depot. In addition to the
floor plan the RLP has provided
detailed technical assistance on
equipping the library and on library
operations.

The historic Remer
Train Depot owned by the Chamber of
Commerce is the site of the new Remer
Public Library
